Description Well, here I come.

Among its historial, Toho had many various ideas for Kaiju films which, some of them, unfortunately, by some reasons, were discarded (frankly, it could be a good idea seeing Godzilla VS Bagan, or Godzilla VS Asuka Fortress, or Godzilla VS MechaMothra, or Godzilla VS M...). One of the most known of these scrapped ideas is a film idea which came before Godzilla VII: Godzilla VS Destoroyah (1995), and it was known as Godzilla VS Ghost Godzilla. Following the release of Godzilla VI: Godzilla VS. SpaceGodzilla in 1994, Toho immediately began work on the next Godzilla film. Due to the impending release of the first American-produced Godzilla film by TriStar Pictures (directed by Roland Emmerich) and its potential sequels, Toho decided to bring their series to a temporary close and cease production of Godzilla films until 2005. For the final entry of the Heisei series, Toho decided to tie back to the original 1954 film, pitting Godzilla against the restless spirit of the first Godzilla. The movie was going to go for a more fantasy based approach than previous Godzilla entries, as the 1950's Godzilla was going to be revived as a ghost during the film in order to have him square off with his modern day counterpart. The project was eventually scrapped, though, with director Takao Okawara citing that three movies in a row where Godzilla faces off against creatures that resemble him (Mechagodzilla in 1993 and SpaceGodzilla in 1994) was simply too much.

In terms of supporting cast, it's not known how the Little Godzilla/Godzilla Junior character would have fit into Kazuki Omori's idea for the movie (altought it's said that it could be possessed by Ghost Godzilla). The screenplay, however, was going to incorporate Anguirus in some capacity, as concept art was commissioned to try and design a "Heisei Series Version" of the character.

Well, here's my own interpretation and fanart (as a photomanipulation) of how the concept could be. As Ghost Godzilla, I put the version from "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack!" (2001; directed by Shusuke Kaneko) (A.K.A. SokogekiGoji), due to this version likely approachesmore  to the idea of "Ghost Godzilla", due to the premise of being the original 1954 monster revived by paranormal causes (altought the original concept by Kazuki Omori didn't stablished that it could be revived by the spirits of the innocents died in the times of the Second World War, like Shusuke Kaneko's version (altought I must recognize that Kaneko crossed the line with his premise idea...)), also features eyes with no pupils, and is portrayed as a being of pure evilness. Also, sometimes, I think Shusuke Kaneko re-taken the idea of Ghost Godzilla, but with his own interpretation.

Comment, please.

I agree the GMK version of Godzilla is the closest we'll ever get to see Ghost Godzilla. I think if Toho ever continued the Heisei era maybe vs. Ghost Godzilla would've taken place after vs. Destoroyah.

I just thought of another version we've seen that comes close to this concept: Kiryu (aka Mechagodzilla 3) was a cyborg created using the bones and G-Cells of the first Godzilla, and when it first heard the current Godzilla's roar it would go berserk and destroy the city. The reason I say this is because in the original concept Ghost Godzilla's spirit would have possessed Little Godzilla forcing him to become an adult and go on a rampage and eventually kill Godzilla.

Exactly! And Ghost Godzilla would be the spirit of the original Godzilla from 1954 (and it's confirmed that Junior's father was in fact a second Godzilla).

My version of the story would be set after Godzilla vs DESUTOROYAH!!! In it, Saradian terrorists have hijacked a nuclear submarine and are also in possession of G-Cells recovered from the surviving remains of SpaceGodzilla, Biollante and Burning Godzilla. They come across the surviving skeleton of the original 1954 Godzilla, buried beneath the Bering Sea, they have a psychic medium on board, who senses that the original Godzilla's soul and angry spirit still inhabits the bones. So what they do, is combine the recovered G-Cells and expose them to large doses of nuclear radiation, which reactivates them and causes them to start regenerating new tissue, they then send a team of divers down to inject the skeleton with the cells, hoping to "resurrect" Godzilla, as a way to hold Japan hostage to get revenge for the actions of Dr. Shiragami in Godzilla vs Biollante, they intend to use their psychic to gain control  of Godzilla and use him as a weapon against Japan. While everything seems to go according to plan, Godzilla Junior (now fully grown) attacks the sub, attracted to the radiation, and blows it up. However, the resulting nuclear explosion is absorbed by the skeleton, eventually causing it to regenerate rapidly, but with nobody to control it, it resurrects as a mindless animal hell-bent on revenge for it's death over 60 years ago. From this point on, is when the rest of the plot unfolds

I like your concept! Especially involving the Saradins and the G-Cells, you should do a fanfiction of this.

Thank you, this is my favorite concept for a Godzilla movie that never happened. The rest of the story involves the Zombie Godzilla rampaging across Japan out of nowhere, and G-Force blame Junior for the attacks and plan to destroy him once and for all, however, Miki Saegusa and Azuza (the woman Junior imprinted on when he was born) attempt to prove his innocence and uncover the truth behind this "new" Godzilla. Also my version of the story has a "cameo" from Akira Takarada, reprising his role as Ogata from the original Gojira movie, who believes that the 1954 Godzilla has returned to seek vengeance on those who killed him over 60 years ago, including Ogata himself. Oh and in case I didn't already mention it, this is set in present times, 23 years after Godzilla vs DESUTOROYAH!! Btw, I'm still thinking about how Angurius will fit in with the story. I'm also planning on having the spirit of Junior's father, the Heisei Godzilla, play a part in the final battle

Very good! I especially like that you involved Ogata from the original movie and Azuza for from MechaGodzilla 2, as for Anguius and the Heisei Godzilla's spirit getting involved I'm sure you'll think of something good.

Thx man, I just type this as the idea comes to me. I just hope that one day Toho makes at least one more Heisei movie just to give true closure and make us fans (especially me ) happy
