Description
More characters I came up with when school just started. I originally drew the one of the right first, then Miss Claudia came into the picture (literally) minutes later.
Claudia
-Romanian, brought over to the U.S. to be experimented on when she was 5-years-old
-Hybrid: 95% human, 4% fruit bat, 1% vampire bat
-Eats fruit (strawberries, melon, grapes) and insects
-Right arm consists of a sunflower tattoo, a quote of some type, and vines with flowers
-She is one of the main attractions of the circus themed rave, having actual bat wings comes out of her back when strobe lights start
-Refuses to drink blood
-Has small wittle fangs >u<
-Casual clothes (what she's wearing in the picture) are usually baggy and comfy
Avarice
-Latina
-Has longer hair, pins it up in the back of her head
-Considers herself the "Spider Queen" because she is 90% human, 5% black widow spider, 5% tarantula
-Has different personalities sometimes - can be super happy and upbeat, but can be very sweet, or be really sour and grim (usually when she goes out for a smoke)
-Identifies as a lesbian
-Tattoos consist of webs and spiders of all kinds; the ones on her back hide scars
-Drinks blood every now and then
-The main event of the rave, center stage
-Has major conflicts with the ringleader clown, Faina (Not your average circus )

Oh, sure!
The name is Avarice, which basically means "greed".
I chose this name because, personally, I find spiders can be somewhat greedy (the way they spin their webs and capture many bugs in their web).
And also because it says up above that she is the "center stage" at a rave. Whenever I hear "center stage" I often think of people who are greedy and want the most attention, even though this may not be what you mean by "center stage"... I have a weird way of seeing things xD
Anyway, best of luck on this contest, it's a very cool idea!

Well, obviously you should name her Vriska or Aranea because of ironic homestuck purposes.
The ones that I found that you should probably do because I'm always right:
Since she's Latino, (well, Latina. Dumb Spanish word gendered logic) you could always go with the Spanish version of Spider, which is "Araña" or you could spell it as "Aranya" to seem more English? Or, if she's from Brazil, which their native language is Portuguese, "Aranha" or or or possibly, "Rainha Aranha" which translates directly to "Spider Queen" in Portugese or "Reina Araña" in Spanish. Or possibly her full name could be "Reina Araña/Rainha Aranha" and her nickname could just be "Reina/Rainha" since she's gonna be a boss ass Queen. Along with this, I've found cute little names such as "Ariana" or "Spindra". You feel?
And they both be looking hella nice gurl. You keep on making these cute ass characters.

I think a perfect name would be something like Rocket
I got the idea from the artist/singer named LIGHTS and her husband Beau, naming their daughter Rocket. <.< >.>
I don't know whym but it looks like the name would fit her. You don't have to use it, but yeah.

You could name her Arachne/Arakhne (second is a variation spelling), after the Greek goddess of spiders. Her purpose is to show mortals to not disobey the gods - or, in your case, do not disobey the Spider Queen.
Arachne in the legends, challenged Athena (goddess of wisdom, battle, weaving and a lot of other things) to a weaving contest, saying she could beat her. They were very evenly matched - Athena wove a scene of the Gods being perfect, while Arachne, a little sassy, wove scenes of the gods being unfaithful and she depicted their flaws. Athena got rather upset at this and she destroyed Arachne's sewing loom and her work, and then turned her into a spider.
So it does fit, in a way. An idea for a backstory is that she could have challenged the Spider Queen before her (possibly related to her by blood?) and to differentiate from the legend, she could have won the throne instead of dying like the goddess did.
And she could have a talent for weaving, as not only do spiders weave pretty well (you can teach them to knit, I'm not kidding), but as also a nod to the legend. Bonus points if she has one of those 3D printing pens that write in the air and weaves by creating sculptures or something.
