Do you know that after taking this picture I thought about you? I thought that you know well the sea in winter... I remembered your tales of riverside walks to it at the end of the day... the peace, the silence, the cold.

That's sweet, and I'm glad it made you think of me.

The sea is definitely different in Winter, it never stays the same. During Summer, it's as if the heat and all the people tamed it... but when it's cold, and silent and the day is grey and dark, well. It's amazingly different. (:

I think that those who love the winter sea have a predisposition to "melancholy", although "constructive"... but I don't know if it's the right term.

Oh, yes, I agree! I stared into the waves so much that I would be a hypocrite saying I don't fit into that category... and I don't know if it's really correct, but I'm pretty sure I know what you mean.
