m. no. If you take a picture which is made of an eye not a random pic or portrait, where the eyes indeed are too small to draw like that.
I took a big picture of my eye, and drew from it.
Do the same. Take a macro pic only of the eye(s).
Then the picture will be big enough to see the details.
