Description Aegis vs. Dr. Chemo (part 1)
Aegis had tracked down the lair of Dr. Chemo and moved in to bring him to justice. He raced through the complex looking for the villain, easily breaking through locked doors. Suddenly he stopped. In front of him stood Dr. Chemo, dressed in an all-green costume that featured goggles and a dramatic cape. He was flanked by gun-wielding guards.

Aegis confronted the villain, “I’ve come to take you in, Dr. Chemo! You won’t threaten the city with your chemical warfare!”.  Dr. Chemo retorted, “Oh? And who’s going to stop me, Aegis? You?” One of the eager guards lunged forward and tried to punch Aegis, but his hand thudded feebly against Aegis’ tough body, and he howled in pain clutching his now-broken hand.

Dr. Chemo taunted, “You may have your superpowers, but I have the advantage of numbers!” Turning to his guards, he commanded, “Open fire!”

His guards raised their rifles and started firing on Aegis. Our hero had anticipated their attack and had already raised glowing hands. Energy flowed from his hands and formed a curved shield that deflected the hail of bullets. As the guards moved to surround him in gunfire, Aegis adjusted his shield to form a protective dome. “You’re wasting your bullets! I can deflect them all day”, grinned Aegis.

Dr. Chemo retorted, “Then I’ll change tactics!” He pressed a button, and Aegis was surprised to find green gas shooting up from the floor…inside his protective dome! “Fool!”, gloated Dr. Chemo, “I forced you to move into that position, and now my noxious gas will take care of you. Your body may be near-invulnerable, but your lungs aren’t!”

Aegis didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t lower his shield, or the bullets would hit him. And keeping the shield up meant trapping himself inside with the rapidly thickening gas. He tried to hold his breath, but he couldn’t do it forever. Eventually when he had to take a breath, he immediately felt his lungs tighten. He coughed, which caused him to breath more in. That in turn made him choke and gasp. His head got dizzy, and his thoughts swam into a jumble.

He soon staggered to his knees and then dropped to the floor unconscious. The thick green gas swirled around him…

Horrors! Aegis has succumbed to Dr. Chemo’s noxious green gas! What will the nefarious villain do with our hero? Come back and see…Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel!
