Human Torch - Foam Factory (part 2)
The Human Torch awoke, remembering Trapster capturing him in an asbestos-laced foamy trap that snuffed out his flame powers. He examined his surroundings. He was now standing in a glass chamber, surrounded and encased in gooey foam. Trapster was no where to be seen; he must think Torch was no longer any threat.

Taking advantage of being alone, Torch tried to summon some flame, and to his surprise it worked…a little. A small flame ignited on his hand. Concentrating intensely, he made it white-hot and then slowly spread it across his body. It was so hot, it melted off the asbestos foam. Working methodically, he was eventually able to clear all the foam off his body!

He then focused his intense flames at the glass. It weakened, and Torch broke free of his glassy prison. Reveling in his well-deserved freedom, he leaped out and flew in search of Trapster. Locating his quarry, he hovered in the air and with flames bursting from his hands, he challenged Trapster. “Your foam trap couldn’t hold me, Trapster. Now give up, or I’ll burn down your entire factory!”

In a panic, Trapster threw all the switches in front of him, and foam poured out from vats surrounding Torch. He nimbly dodged the maze of foam pouring around him…for awhile. But some foam eventually hit him, and while he struggled to burn off that part, more hit. As foam built up, it threw off his balance in the air and eventually made him fall into a vat of foam below. His legs were immediately trapped, and the foam seemed to suck him deeper into its embrace.

Pressing his advantage, Trapster shot more foam from his guns onto Torch. It coated and weighed him down, making him sink deeper into the vat. Torch struggled, but it was too much foam. It once again snuffed out his flames. And he was too busy trying to summon flame, that he didn’t notice how deep he was sinking. Once he sunk up to his chest, then his arms were trapped too.

Trapster laughed maniacally at the helpless Torch. “You’re doomed, Torch! You’ll sink until you’re totallly submerged in that foam, and it will become your tomb!”

Horrors! Can the Torch find some way to rise up out of the foamy trap like a phoenix? Or will he keep sinking until it indeed becomes his foamy tomb? Only time can tell…
