Well thank you so much for your comment! That's exactly the effect that I was trying to achieve, where the observer feels like he's at the bottom of the steps looking up, and obviously the age of the biulding adding to the mustery of what you might find at the top. Thanks again!

What a wonderful picture, you have captured this scene perfectly, the composition and colours are absolutely natural. one of the few pictures I have seen where you actually forget it is a photograph. I feel as if I am at the bottom of those steps, history and mystery awaiting

It's a church in Clifton Hampden, Oxfordshire, UK. Originally built in the 11th century and from what I can find out these steps were added in the 13th century. Thank you for your comment.
