Id like to point out that the best friend trope is not an exclusive Miles thing for comics and that it isn't ripping his story and if it is then Miles is also ripping from other comics as well. case closed.

Not goona lie, it pissed me of when I realised they just straight up retconned Ganke into the movie... but on brighter note, at least Peter actually has a friend who's not a complete and total selfish asshole, which is almost every character who's ever associated with him... so that's something.
