Spheres created in KnotPlot.

These are the motherships of a life form that call themselves "Sferra" after their planet of the same name.
The larger openings in the ships allow for passage of scout, transport, and cargo vessels.
Interior cloaking causes them to appear empty and transparent.
When exterior cloaking is enabled they just flat out can't be seen.

Well, I'm not much of a writer but I have quite the imagination, lol.
A sense of humor helps.
