Description
walking through these woods after rising from a pretend sleep,
creeping through an endless veil of vines.
stepping gingerly on and between tree roots large and small -
the lifeline to towering guardians that sway gently in the strongest of winds.
gnarled roots adorning my back are a stark contrast to such life:
the epitome of death, yet a constant reminder of what once was.
an emotion, a mood, a feeling
is what i am,
more than a thing to be described in many words.
floating flames of blue and purple coax that what is dead back to life,
just as leaves turn yellow and red, and the the forest falls into a sleep of its own.
