Okay, this is my first attempt at creating vector art. I took a picture of Lara Croft as a reference and I started drawing shapes in Macromedia Flash MX.I think the result is quite good, considering I have never worked with vectors before.
I hope you enjoy this little piece of art.

My God, this looks very professional! The idea is original, and it's fine to look at the final result.
There is a Tomb Raider fan art section on TRBoard. I invite you and other fans to submit your work at the board. There is a judge (even someone from Eidos!) they give you points and you can win every month a nice price. Enjoy!

The forms are very good, once again, and you've captured the intensity of Lara Croft's gaze very nicely. For some reason, something is bugging me out about the bigness of her lips in comparison to everything else. You might want to consider looking at the shapes of her guns again, too--though I haven't played Tomb Raider, and I haven't seen it played in a while.
Great job on your first vector piece, though, and that background is awesome, even if it isn't vector (or as someone said, perhaps BECAUSE it isn't vector, though I've seen some good enviros done in vector . . .)

Well, her lips are meant to be that colour in the original artwork. I know they're too dark, but that contrast doesn't look bad IMO when you get used to it. It's just a cartoon character anyway. I used the original artwork as a reference, so the guns are exactly how they look in the original.

hmm, I didn't mean how black the lips were, I meant how BIG they were. Ok on the guns (guns are just a weak point with me, so they're something I look out for.)

Yes, Lara is made by vectors, but not the background. Hehe.
