Description The T-38 Talon is a 2 seat, twin-engine, supersonic jet trainer. First flown in 1959, the Talon has been in service with the US Air Force, US Navy and NASA. The aircraft was also flown by the USAF Thunderbirds from 1974 to 1983. On February 18, 1962, a T-38 set 4 time-to-climb world records to 3,000, 6,000, 9.000 and 12,000 meters. With a top speed of Mach 1.3 and impressive climbing ability the Talon became known as “The White Rocket”. Prints are available through my website, www.markkarvon.net.

One of my favorite planes. Tiny wings really do make it look like a rocket. Great work.

The most beautiful plane ever built. Your art reflects and respects this. It soars!

Saw these training jets during my assignment to the now defunct Williams AFB in Chandler, AZ.  Beautiful just sitting on the tarmac, beautiful in flight as seen during takeoff's, just plain beautiful.  Your artwork does them justice.  Thanks!

Was this a NASA paint scheme, or a developmental model paint scheme? I don't really remember ever seeing this particular style of paint, but it was developed in the 1950s and I flew them in the 1980s, hence the question. In any event, really excellent picture!

The dayglow red paint scheme is typical of that worn by T-38s at Edwards AFB during the early 60s. The main machine is actually the one in which Jackie Cochran flew to 844.2 miles per hour over a straight 15-to-25 kilometer course, setting the world speed record for women in 1961.

This is my favorite jet. It can simulate a space shuttle's atmospheric approach to landing mode...
