This is another sculpt I did for 'Bowen Designs' It's a Marvel comics character from the X-Men series called 'Archangel'The wings and the base were built out of Styrene. A model builders sheet plastic.

This is my all-time favorite Archangel sculpt. I wish Bowen hadn't changed it. This pose is perfect. Is there anyway to buy a cast of your original?

Hi Mark I love your sculptures !
This sculpture inspired me to do my first hero sculpt ever.
It was a challenge I gave to myself.
You can probably see the influence to some extent in my design. [link]

I am amazed at your creativity and the life in your sculpture... inspiring.
I am trying the 3d digital route now (though I remain a noob) I have a brother in-law who makes his living in traditional sculpture but using fire baked clay... I am curious about what you do to prepare for your final sculpt... do you draw? make temporary crude sculpture in Plasticine? How do you plan your pieces and 'try ideas'?

This looks absolutely epic! Is there a colour version? Always loved the character and think this is incredible however, the pose, as good as it is, constricts the view of the face, hiding the character. Love the pose though but it still would be awesome seeing the face.
