The First post of 2024 !
Really hyped about this!
I was not very familiar with the whole Heroes of Olympus series, but I do remember seeing the Percy Jackson movies (yes attack me I know they’re bad 😭) and it being huge when I was in middle school.
But I was properly introduced to the characters by a couple friends of mine and let’s just say I’m hooked!
Of the guys, Leo’s personality and backstory made him quickly become one of my favorite characters.

It helped that I kinda had met him randomly when watching the Tangled series and seeing a particular comment mentioning how varian reminded others to Leo Valdéz, so as a fellow varian lover it’s only natural I’d like Leo as well!
(Insert nothing left to lose song)

As per usual I hope u enjoy this little scenario story I put together! Might be shorter than usual but I still hope you enjoy it!

“Nghhh '' Leo groans into his gag, his head throbbing after being knocked out
he hoped he managed to buy the others some time at least to regroup.
Upon further inspection of his surroundings he could tell he was in some type of cave or labyrinth.

Looks like the little guy’s awake, “HM!”, (come on, low blow!) Leo thought to himself- huffing in irritation, at the mention of his small stature. The man ruffles Leo’s messy hair.
“Your gonna be our little bargaining chip”
(Crap so much for a heroic sacrifice) Leo thought, getting a little ashamed at himself for being captured; and again at the mention of the word “little”

Strange, he thought as he tried to summon some flames to burn the ropes away. But he couldn’t, must be some type of magic seal within the labyrinth itself or maybe the ropes binding him that were the cause. Meaning he was definitely targeted for a reason if they were prepared enough to restrict his fire.

“Listen, don't try anything.”
“We’ll be back after reporting to the boss we managed to capture 1 of the 7.”
“But just to make sure, we’ve been told your a pretty crafty- annoying brat”
They say quickly removing Leo’s tool belt from his waist.
“You won’t be needing this anymore, heard it’s pretty helpful for you”
“Shiiiiiiiit” Leo curses to himself that’s not good that definitely would have been handy for him.
using tape the man wound the roll round Leo’s hands and fingers, completely encasing his hands rendering his hands useless.
“Now don’t try anything funny” the men say before leaving.

Leo chuckles to himself,
(No funny business? But funny was his middle name!- Leo -funny guy- Valdéz!)
He joked to himself.
Seriously, They couldn’t really expect him to stay still did they?
Besides they mentioned 1 of seven meaning the others were also in danger, not good.
Leo quickly springs into action listening to the footsteps get farther away he works his way to a wall for balance going into a sitting position and sliding his way up.
First things first he needed to get some distance and survey for anything he could use.
His eyes analyze the environment as he hops around the labyrinth, he has no tool belt, a lack of mobility- being bound, and no form of communication.
“Nghh mmmph!”
Leo began to rub his hands against the wall. If he was lucky enough, the rock wall would eat away at the tape, he just needed to make a hole big enough to get his fingers free.
Leo worked fast managing to get 1 hand free. And luckily the tape gag begins to slip down as well as he struggles.
Getting his hand free he can only celebrate so much before hearing the villains’ voices and laughter. “Crap!” Leo says as he begins moving again trying to establish some distance.

“Alright grab the kid we’re- huh?”
“What the- where’s the kid!?”
“Ur kidding! The brat did not manage to get free did he!”
“He couldn’t have!”
Leo plays statue, maybe if he stays still they wouldn’t see him and walk past him.
“Hey! Kid!”
(Welp looks like that plan failed)
“Crap! Time to move!” Leo tries his best but it’s no use he’s been spotted.

"FU-" Leo curses to himself losing his balance taking a hard fall onto the ground.
"Where do ya think ur going" he feels the hands on his shoulder pull him back down to the ground
“Ha! Oh hey guys! nowhere really! I was Just doing a little exploring, haha the place is very spacious” Leo tries to be humorous much to the annoyance of his captors. “You guys live here? Cozy. quite, uhhh minimalist if I do say so myself. Is that why you guys kidnapped me, looking for some new company?”
“…… I’m starting to remember why we gagged you”
Pining his hands against his back again and reapplying tape around his fingers his captors tighten the ropes binding him.

"this time ur not getting away" the guys say.
“Nigh, hey! Is that a challenge! I betcha I can. I mean it was working the first time you left me tied up—-.”

Leo looks up and notices the second guy coming up with some cloth in his hand.
“Aww come on! Wait guys, let's talk about thi—-mmph!” Leo’s tries to say but his mouth gets stuffed with a cloth with another tied tightly over his mouth securing the gag.

Painfully, to Leo’s displeasure the men produce more rope quickly attaching Leo’s bound hands to his feet placing him in a tight hogtie.
“Crap, maybe I can’t get out of this” he thinks to himself.
Before getting picked up and thrown over one of the man’s shoulders.
“Alright let’s go”
