In my self absorption i forgot you.
So the crime i fell victim to,
i have unintentionally projected onto you.
I am sorry.
Please find it in your heart to forgive me.

I lost my heart a while back,
and i can't feel much of anything,
in this dreary town, that's painted black.

I soak my face in steam,
in the vain attempt to stop these tears,
that race relentlessly down my cheeks,
like stinging streams.

I guess i am human.
That is my one true fault.
I break to easily, at the will of my own race.
I feel abandoned when i can't touch your face.

My greatest weakness is the love i must endure,
while bighting my tongue and looking away.
Here, in avoidance,
safe for another day.
