My stare did not provoke a recoil.
My heart stopped beating,
in your presence it became inconsequential,
what was blood, veins, clumsy quivers and pulsations,
when you peirced me,
pinned me to the floor.
You redefined my perception of life.
I feared you, initially,
not for your feirce eyes or stoic stance.
You saw me as i wished to be seen,
real, and flawed.
I was stunned.
Not lost in your eyes like so many others who caught my attention.
You were not baffled by the fact that i caught yours.
You were not afraid,
and you continued to stare.
I did not squirm or fumble,
I did not look away.
I would have, had it been anyone else.
So we stood like that,
fixated on one and other for what seemed like a lifetime,

as our knowledge of one and other exceeded the knowledge we posessed of ourselves.

inhaling,
exhaling,
In a harmony unmatchable.
Soulmates in seconds, of inconceivable silence.
As we both turned our back on our newly discovered utopia,
exiting through opposite doors.
Colliding in love,
a broken heart conceived,
and not a word was uttered.
