Description Ahhh... after a relaxing 6 days in the country side, working on this little piece of annoyance, I have finally confirmed that this wasn't a total failure nor a waste of my time. All the hardware barely fit inside. I had to turn the power around for it to fit though. I almost lost it when it didn't fit on the first tr, and I saw the horror of too little space. But now it's here! 3 of the big claws still need to be casted, but otherwise everything is done. Except for paint, and small cracks and crevices that are there due to my lack of skill in the art of casting. Yes, I just admitted that. I've gotten a lot better at it though. Today I decided that I will not be doing anymore computer cases. Way too much work and huge risks of failure. Not cool. I will be doing more props though. Have that helmet in my closet waiting to be done... I'll be able to paint when I get some plastic filling to fix all the spots that are missing.

This looks absolutely FANTASTIC!
Yeah! My PC is back! \o/
I'm now trying to upload my latest pictures, I've already finished the veteran ranger costume, now I don't have anything to work with
I'm still planning to build a T-45D Power Armor. Pepakura, resin and bondo for the helmet and EVA foam for the body pieces, but I'm not sure, it's going to be really REALLY expensive and I'm broken right now, I have only R$500 (US$250) with me, and I'm going to buy a new Xbox because my old 360 Arcade is broken and doesn't worth fixing it

Good to hear that you have your PC back in business
Well you just start with what you can, try to manage with what you have at the time and get more money and materials when you're able
That sounds like a cool project! I'm cheering for you ;D
That's too bad

Haha thanks Well, I'll be 18 in March, so it'll be easier for me to get a job, so then I'm going to have money to buy the materials and start this project

man i bet there was  a moment of utter anger when it first didn't fit.
great that it does fit and is going to work! cant wait to see you get this thing painted.

computer case are great but i see your point. high risk projects can be never shattering.

Oh yes there was. But I've learned to control myself in very bad situations in the last year or so Me neither, but I feel bad that you've been waiting so long already

Also there's not much freedom since you need to minimize wasted space and still fit everything inside the case, which very often leads to a box like design which I've been trying ti get away from

that's a good to skill to have. i am like that too, just take a step back and resist the urge to destroy XD
don't worry about it dude, rather wait and have you be happy with your project than rush.

yea i understand what you are saying, built a few custom pcs(always used prefab cases tho)

Taking it slows takes you a long way it seems from experience. And keeping calm

I should buy a cheap case, and try modding it and selling it, that could be fun Especially when I have all the new and awesome painting gear!

it really does! most of my mistakes are from a dirty workspace or when i rush. so i try to take things slow and do them right the first time. like now, as i had originally wanted the dozer done over the latest weekend, but because i didn't rush on some trick steps, i am not finished(but soo close now)

sounds like an awesome idea dude, Especially with your new painting gear!

And it sucks to under preform due to time constraints, when you clearly see your mistakes and know that you could've done a better job. With that said the storm trooper helmet better be perfect since it's taking so long

yea that happens to me all the time when i give myself limits. but sometime that can b good to improve on some skills and not be sweathing the small stuff.

that's the kind of project you want to be perfect! will be worth it i am sure!
