Hawkeye and his wife, Mockingbird! After Captain America, Hawkeye is my favorite character. I think he just rocks, so when I saw this gorgeous piece drawn by the amazingly talented , I knew I had to ink it.Inked almost entirely with a brush. Used a quill on the flames and some of the rock textures.

You've thrown killer inks over great pencils here man - Awesome work! Your lineweights in particular do a great job of popping the forms, loving the detailed texture work on the ground as well

Thanks. I've been using a bit more lately just for certain textures and effects. Taking me a while to adjust to it again. Been using a brush pretty much exclusively for the past several years.

Mark great work. I love inking Heubert's stuff you did an awesome job with this one. Which brushes are you using? I've got a crappy set of brushes and I'm looking to replace them sooner rather than later.

I use the Raphael Kolinsky 8404 series, size #3. YOu can order them from Dick Blick online. They run about $16 or so. I really like them.
