Description
As my first new extinct animal sketch in almost three months, here is a southern pig-footed bandicoot (Chaeropus ecaudatus), which was located in southern Australia. Last seen prior to 1945, its demise was likely the result of introduced mammalian predators (foxes, feral cats) as well as habitat degradation by livestock.
