Most of my images are a combination of 3d models/renderings and 2d Photoshop postwork.

You should post own images before you criticize the ones of others!

I really like what you did with ship. I turned the ship into a 250km monster with massive weapons and hangars but I have never been able to uvmap a model. I wish I could get that real look.

Great design

ah sorry friend , that comment was before i started doing 3D
i meant how much time did it take to make the spaceship "model", because it's got tons of details

I do not know why this picture reminds me the movie 'Event Horizon'... The spacecraft is very similar of starred the film. Perhaps because the space engineering has laws that determine the design of ships? Anyway, it's a great creation of an artist.

Your work is so friken epic!

I can guess that you dont have time to make tutorials on how you make these beautiful creations, but do you know anywhere that may be able to help aspiring spaceship creators such as myself???

Many thanks in advance

MarkusVogt In reply to DsVortex [2012-02-01 14:17:52 +0000 UTC]

Many thanks, glad you like my images. But i am afraid i am also not being able to tell you a good tutorial site for sci-fi spaceships making ofΒ΄s or for sci-fi art in general. I have looked for those sites a LOT over the years (in addition to this i purchased a lot of printed magazines) but to be honest i did very rarely found any stuff which fits to my personal needs. So most of my images came out of a lot of experimentations and search for interesting shapes and forms and a good overall composition and so on

WOW! WHAT A SHIP!!!!!

Tiny Nitpick - darker, and floods.

Aside that - WOW!!!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MarkusVogt In reply to Colourbrand [2012-01-30 18:05:42 +0000 UTC]

Not really sure, too me it looks dark enough. But maybe you are right. What exactly do you mean? Darkening the ship or the background?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Colourbrand In reply to MarkusVogt [2012-01-30 18:41:59 +0000 UTC]

The ship - think Event Horizon, or the scene from the film Lost in Space.

Aside that - this is fabulous!!!
