Always been a huge Tron fan. The movie came out a week before I was born so I guess there's some weird connection there if you want to look for one. But the bottom line is that it's an awesome movie. I've always been too intimidated to draw him because of that costume. I've seen a ton of Tron drawings and about 95% of them make up their own design because the costume is so tricky. I wasn't going to let myself become one of "those people".I'm mostly pleased with the way it turned out. It was a bit tricky trying to figure out how to do the glowing effects with this color halftone style, but I think this works. I certainly learned a few things that should make drawing him again a lot easier. We'll see if I give it another shot or not.

Thanks! It was a pain the ass trying to get it to work with the newsprint style. I almost added a black outline to the glowing effect to make it stand out a bit more, but it looked crappy and unnecessary.

Thanks! That's the plan! I decided at the last minute that I want to go to Pittsburgh this year so I've been putting these new designs together. I plan to have at least 10 new prints in time and I'm already more than halfway there!
As much fun as I had last year, 3 people at one table gets very crowded so I'm getting my own seat in Artist's Alley this time. Looks like everyone will have way too much stuff for such a tiny amount of table space. This way Chris can display...whatever the hell he's putting together.

Well, the latecomers are either young people who are curious about this movie concept or just recently understand how important TRON is. It did start the fascination with the idea of a computer landscape as a new world to explore...

Thanks! I did all the circuits and stuff in ink and swapped them out in Photoshop. In hindsight, it probably would have been a LOT easier to do them just as a color layer.
