Yup, I'm still alive.I'm almost done with my preparations for Connichi this weekend. Boy, this took me ages.
Anemone just needs a tad more sewing and ironing.
And I'm basically showing off my panties all the time
(This will be replaced with a proper image after the convention.)

What did you do to get the end of her dress to do that?

I put in a water hose intended for high pressures. It's rather stiff but it works well. I've also heard some people used pool noodles.
It makes for a neat effect but a) you will be unable to see your feet - which is rather dangerous in high heels - and b) you will take up a lot of room and it will be hard to get through doors or crowds.
I guess something a bit more flexible is probably better.

Yes you could try that. It might be a bit small depending on how huuuuge you want the circle to be. But if you're going for the manga size that would work.

Cute Anemone Cosplay. I love Eureka Seven. I'm going as Renton with the board and everything. Made the board so I could stand on it and do some pretty cool poses as well.

Yep I'll be posting them since I'm going to MEWcon. Packing the board in my hatchback though is going to be interesting. Sometimes I wish I had a bigger car, lol.
