Description
The cold Arctic seems to most people to be a desolate and unattractive place. However, it is in its harsh waters under a multi—meter layer of ice that the real prototype of the fabulous unicorn, the narwhal, lives.⠀
The Inuits have a legend about a female hunter: one day she plunged a harpoon into a narwhal, secured with a rope around her waist. The animal rushed deep into the ocean and dragged the woman with it. Then she turned into a narwhal herself, and her long braid turned into a horn.⠀
For this design, I used the references of the seal, narwhal and Pacific albatross - animals of the northern waters. For such a weak creature as man, the ocean is a deadly danger. It is cruel, full of storms and infinitely huge. But for these animals, he is like a harsh mother and the most native home, able to feed and protect, despite his harsh temper.⠀
