Description Yet another Code Geass map, though the PoD would be around events of R1. In this case, What if V.V. successfully convinced Emperor Charles that killing Lelouch would be more effective in forcing C.C. to search for a new contractor, leaving her vulnerable to capture?

"Even in captivity and on the verge of death, my little brother Lelouch had dared to defy our father to the point where his rage exploded. As both Lords Bismarck and Luciano had carried the Emperor's sword and Imperial scepter respectively, our father could no longer control his temper, and with a swing from the scepter to Lelouch's head, the rebellious ex-Prince now lay dead on the floor. I thought of exposing Lelouch and his Geass to the Black Knights as a way of crippling their leadership without any bloodshed at all, but ironically enough, Father has avenged both Euphemia and Clovis, but the price that our family paid was Lelouch's life. My brother's brutal execution, along with Father's complacency and the Imperial Edict of the Ten Grains of Rice that certainly condemned Area 11 to a slow, torturous death, were the main reasons why I opted to take control of Euro-Britannia. I saw it as a springboard from which I would eventually seize the crown and proclaim myself the 99th Emperor. I, the true White Emperor, Emperor Schneizel the 99th Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire, will restore the liberties to all Britannian citizen-subjects." Schneizel el Britannia, when talking to the House of Lords of Euro-Britannia.

"I was heart-broken when I learned the truth of my brother Lelouch's execution. However, my worst fears about Father had been realized when Cornelia told me while she fought her tears that the Emperor had commanded Sir Kururugi to bring Nunnally to him. Father had tested Sir Kururugi for his loyalty by ordering him to kill Nunnally with his sword. What monstrous crime and act that Father issued on Suzaku. Even as he steeled himself and closed his eyes to the crime he was forced to commit, Nunnally assured him that she would be in a much happier place, and that she will die without any regrets. Though Sir Kururugi passed Father's test, he started having nightmares and suffered from insomnia as a result of this crime. I learned from brother Schneizel that Sir Kururugi would often dream of Lelouch and Nunnally admonishing him for selling them out to Father, and even encountered sister Euphemia, cursing him for what he did. What was worse was that his attempts to off himself had often failed, mostly because brother Schneizel explained to me that Sir Kururugi was under the influence of something called Geass." Marrybell mel Britannia, while conversing with the Zevon twins.

"It was by sheer luck that I wasn't there when His Majesty had used his Geass power to rewrite the memories of those students at Ashford Academy. Since that fateful day, I was told by none other than Lady Villetta that this Lelouch Lamperouge was expelled from school for constantly skipping his classes by gambling with the nobles. My own Geass Canceler had caused me to suffer from a stinging headache, and the truth of Zero's execution might have silenced my frustrations. However, I did not realize that the young Lamperouge was in fact the same Prince Lelouch, who was the son of Lady Marianne. In fact, I did not realize the anger I felt towards His Majesty when he tested that Eleven pilot with the execution of Princess Nunnally. What a terrifying and disgusting test of loyalty! Even as Kururugi had passed the test, his conscious fought a war against him. It was said that the Eleven pilot had started to go insane, which had somehow made me at peace. Your Highness. Sir Guilford. I am unsure whether or not I should remain loyal to the Crown, knowing that the Emperor did not hesitate to kill his own children. They nearly died when we conquered Japan and turned it into Area 11, and my own guilt will kill me soon if I cannot have a closure with what happened." Jeremiah Gottwald, while conversing with Princess Cornelia and Sir Guilford.

"Lulu, I'm sorry I didn't realize why you rebelled against your own father. I did not know what that white haired monster had said to us all, but I was too terrified. My dad was dead, and the Black Knights finally lost their rebellion. Yet, I could never express how I really felt about you, now that you've died. Lulu, I loved you so much, but I could not come around to tell you my own feelings. Please, sleep now, my dear Lulu." Shirley Fennette, when visiting the makeshift memorial dedicated to Lelouch.

"Initially, I thought that the reports of starving Japanese were exaggerated, until when Lady Sayoko managed to smuggle my mom out of Japan that she began to tell me this extremely dreadful story. The first few months after the Black Rebellion was crushed, the new Britannian Vicereine of Japan announced that because of the food shortages that were experienced in the Homeland and other far flung parts of the Empire, all of Japan's rice, flour, and other food were confiscated from the Japanese people and were shipped to the starving parts of the Britannian Empire. Even the equipment and the seeds used to grow the rice were taken away, and we still had enough food for two days. Not until a few months later, did my mom started to suffer from malnutrition. Sayoko herself also went on without food for three days, but Kento-san died from hunger. Escaping from Japan wasn't easy: the Britannian Navy was patrolling all the waters around Japan, hunting down anyone who tried to escape from the man made famine/genocide. It was pure luck that my mom and Sayoko managed to escape, and they were helped by an Australian cargo ship whose captain was sympathetic to our cause. At the same time though, I was both ashamed and relieved of escaping from Japan, as we felt that we were abandoning our own people to their fate, but those Japanese who pleaded with us to escape reminded us that as long as the Japanese people continue to exist, that we may be able to fight Britannia once more. That is, until the Britannian Emperor made a fatal mistake of launching an invasion of Australia in response to the Australian government's decision to shelter us from the genocidal hunger policies of the new governor of Japan." Kallen Kozuki, from her interview with an Australian reporter.

"It doesn't matter who Zero really is, but that he gave his life for us to continue fighting the Britannian Empire. Zero displayed the true characteristics of the Japanese warrior, despite being born in the same land that is now exterminating our people through hunger. Zero, or Lelouch Lamperouge, or whoever he is, he is more Japanese than the rest of us in spirit. And let us not forget that the traitor who sold him out to the Emperor had been one of us. The impudent lap dog, Suzaku Kururugi. I bet he's happy with being the Emperor's new attack dog, having sold out not only Lelouch, but from what I heard, he put Nunnally to the sword as a test of loyalty. Karma must be tormenting him badly, because he has lost a lot of sleep because of what he's done. My family has decided to disown the traitorous scum for his treason against his own people. Let the name Suzaku Kururugi be synonymous with treason, collaboration, and subservience. To those so-called Honorary Britannians, if you have any shred of dignity left, you would stop serving the same masters that won't hesitate to deny you even the food you grow, continue Zero's work of rebelling against Britannia, and sacrifice your lives for the freedom of Japan." Kaguya Sumeragi, while addressing the surviving Black Knights in Australia.

"Euphemia and Clovis have been avenged at last, but the manner in which Father had executed Lelouch for his rebellion was awful. I would have been fine with locking him up in a tower, without food and water in perpetuity, as a punishment meted out to him for his crimes. Yet, even when he was powerless, Lelouch still found a way to anger Father, and as a result, he used the Imperial Scepter to crush his skull. I could not believe that Father also allowed Schneizel to parade that bloodied scepter as a symbol and warning to all the nobles that rose up in revolt against the Crown. Finally, what crowned this madness was that he tested Kururugi of all people for his loyalty to the Crown.......by executing a crippled and blind girl! I didn't know that it was that midget child who claims that he's Father's brother, and therefore, our uncle. A literal man child, stuck in a ten year old boy's body, manipulating our father into murdering Lelouch and Nunnally. What has happened to Father then? Lord Jeremiah, your loyalty to the Crown and the Imperial Family is impeccable, and your devout loyalty to the memory of the late Lady Marianne is quite rare. I could not ask you to betray the Crown, for what has happened to Lelouch will happen to you. At the same time though, our father has demonstrated his lack of care for the affairs of the Empire, and in the worst case scenario, the man most suited to succeed him is the worst candidate to be chosen. Will you side with the spirit of justice and support the rightful ruler of Britannia? Not our dim witted eldest brother Crown Prince Odysseus, for he too, share the same complacency as our father. Not Second Prince Schneizel, whose craving for glory and world peace is terrifying to see. Not even myself, for I renounced my claim on the throne to seek justice for Euphemia's death. I'm afraid that we must align ourselves with Princess Marrybell's claim on the throne." Cornelia li Britannia, in her conversation with Sir Guilford and Lord Jeremiah Gottwald.

There's no escaping from Britannian atrocities, and as the inhabitants of Area 12 found out to their horror, the starvation policies that we saw in Area 11 had its roots in Area 12. Wilhelm Lohmeyer, the father of Alicia Lohmeyer, who eventually took the position as the new Vicereine of Area 11, came up with the idea of using food to coerce the Twelves into obedience. Yet, as the Britannians found out to their own folly, the Twelves were ready to fight to the death. Wilhelm Lohmeyer unleashed the first famine genocide on the people of Area 12, and as a result, the Twelve population never recovered from such an ordeal. As of now, there's only 200 Twelves left and none of them even thought of becoming Honorary Britannians. Now there's only the Britannian population that lived in Area 12, and I would not be surprised if they pulled off another rigged election, similar to the one where the residents of Sonora had rigged the election in favor of joining the Britannian Homeland." Leila Malcal, during W-0's evacuation from Finland to Australia.

"Do you still think you can control me like a puppet? Even as you've already learned why I rebelled against you? You, whom I have already grown to despise even more, have used me and Nunnally as tools of diplomacy, and when Britannia invaded Japan, you simply wrote us off as expendables. According to your own logic and reasoning, I'm as good as dead. Then again, our entire family has bathed in the blood of millions of innocent people that did nothing wrong to deserve it. How long until you've successfully cannibalized the entire Imperial family, until you have no heirs and heiresses left? Social Darwinism is a joke, a parody of life itself. How long until nature itself decides that you're no longer fit to exist and that you'll end up dead soon? Not long, as you've taken on a whole lot of stress. By your own hand and without my effort at the very least, Britannia will die by its own design. Your reign began in blood, and it shall end in blood." Lelouch vi Britannia, shortly before his execution at the hands of an enraged Emperor Charles.

---

The ripples from the secret execution of the rebel called Zero had been kept silent for four years, until fate would intervene with Lord Jeremiah's Geass Canceler activating by itself, without warning. First, it was the entire student population of Ashford Academy that was Geassed by Emperor Charles when he personally arrived to pick up the captured Lelouch, and then proceeded at first to brainwash him. Yet, Lelouch's defiant attitude, as well as his backtalking, would seal the fate, leading to the most brutal and bloody execution that the Britannian Emperor participated in. What was terrifying was that the Emperor personally killed his own son, in a manner that befits the Oriental despotic monarchs than a typical European king.

Japan after the failed Black Rebellion had not only been harshly punished, but it was being slowly tortured in a manner that would be familiar with nations that experienced certain man made famine genocides. The Imperial Edict of the Ten Grains of Rice had codified the Britannian confiscation of food from the Japanese population, and redistributed it to other parts of the Empire that remained loyal. Within that four years, over 13 million Japanese civilians would die from starvation, malnutrition, and thirst. Those Japanese that were lucky to escape to other nations like Australia and the EU have told stories of Britannian colonial police shooting starving Japanese children when approaching a bakery that banned the sales of bread to 'Elevens'. Their ethnic brethren that lived in the EU were repulsed by what Britannia has done, though the EU government has so far not improved their lives, for fear of a nativist backlash. The shattered Order of the Black Knights would eventually rebuild its power in both Australia and the Central Asian frontier of the Chinese Federation, far from the prying eyes of the Eunuchs and their puppet Empress.

Second Prince Schneizel, though ruthless as he is, was also horrified of the kind of punishment that the Crown was inflicting on Japan, realizing that genocide by starvation can easily be used to pacify other rebellious areas, with deadly consequences. Though he may not care much for the lives of the civilians of enemy nations, he is appalled by Britannia's willingness to condemn Japan to a slow death as a means of punishing them for their rebellion. Fearing for a similar punishment that awaits Euro-Britannia, Britannia's tributary yet autonomous entity within the Eurasian continent, in the event of their rebellion, Schneizel has approached the Euro-Britannian House of Lords with a proposal for an alliance: they will back his claim on the throne, in return for guaranteeing them more autonomy within the Empire. Under his guidance though, Euro-Britannia would slowly upgrade their military to be compatible with that of their mainland Britannian counterparts. It also helped Schneizel that Shin Hyuga Shaingu accepted the offer to build his own Holy Order, called the Order of the White Fang, instead of usurping the Order of Saint Michael, leading to Sir Manfredi surviving.

Princess Marrybell mel Britannia and the Glinda Knights on the other hand, had taken the initiative of reconquering their family's ancient homeland that was lost during the Humiliation of Edinburgh. By taking the crown from the captured and executed False King of England, His Grace King Edward XIII, of the House of Malborough, Marrybell has now declared herself Queen Regnant Marrybell the First of Great Britain. Her reign was anything but peaceful, and with the Glinda Knights carrying out her orders, she has received the nickname of Bloody Marry.

Princess Cornelia on the other hand, has secretly usurped control of the Toromo Foundation from under Schneizel's nose, as his affairs turned to Euro-Britannia. Though she does not harbor any ambition for the throne, she is only a bystander in the possible succession crisis. Surrounded by her devoted knights and the newly recruited Lord Jeremiah Gottwald, Cornelia's influence will decide who gets to become the true successor to the increasingly paranoid and violent Emperor Charles.

Britannia overall, has slowly started to divide itself between those who support the incumbent Emperor, those who pledged their allegiance to the White Prince (Schneizel), and those who prefer Marrybell to sit on the throne. Marrybell's reign of terror in the British Isles was ultimately carried out to Ireland, a nation long familiar with anti-Britannian hostility that predated even the formation of the Holy Britannian Empire itself. Yet, Marrybell was hesitant to carry out the kind of pacification that was implemented on Japan, knowing that it would escalate into a full scale revolt. In the case of Marrybell and Ireland, the insane plan was to steal all the potatoes and livestock. Schneizel's increasingly subversion of Euro-Britannia has actually worked to the advantage of its nobles and commoners alike. The presence of Shin Hyuga Shaingu is an indication of Schneizel's willingness to replace the Area System with that of the Special Zones, similar to Euphemia's failed project for Japan. The nobles that pledged their allegiance to Queen Regnant Marrybell wanted a return to the days of the Angevin Empire controlled by the Plantagenet dynasty, and it would also serve as a special revenge on the French for the Humiliation of Edinburgh.

The EU, while still being alive, is often teetering on the verge of collapse, as various non-European colonies of EU member states are vying for independence. The European treatment of their African holdings was just as harsh and awful as Britannia's treatment of its own colonies, but they made an effort to appear benign and humane. Yet, the enslaved populations of the African continent now look to the Black Knights as an inspiration. The W-0 on the other hand, has experienced significant losses during Schneizel's attack on Eastern Europe through his control of Euro-Britannia. Combined with Marrybell's attack on Western Europe, it won't be long before the EU falls.

The Chinese Federation, while still under the control of the Eunuchs, are now competing with the generals that refused to obey their orders. Not only do they have to deal with a rebellious Militarized Zone of India, which by now, has been subjected to a famine genocide of their own by the Chinese Federation government's policy of confiscating the food from Indian farmers to sell them on the world market. Ironically, the Chinese Federation has also decided to sell over 70% of their own food to the world market, even as their own citizens are starving. The only region of the Chinese Federation that refused to obey was the Militarized Zone of Turkestan, which is vying to become independent and at the same time, trying to ward off Schneizel and the Euro-Britannians.

In his infinite wisdom, the 98th Emperor has decided to invade the United States of Australia, upon hearing of the Australian government's decision to host the Japanese refugees that have successfully fled, including the bulk of the Black Knights. Although they have used Area 9 (New Zealand) as a staging ground, the Australians aren't dumb and have prepared much of their defenses. In fact, the Australian Navy has compensated for its numerical inferiority to Britannia by developing its ships to combat both underwater and surface targets. This is evident by the development of their answer to Britannia's Portman II amphibious Knightmare Frame, the Pademelon. The Pademelon is bascially if the Guren Mark II and the Portman fused together. Alongside the Pademelons, Australia's other Knightmare Frames are Burais (purchased from Japan), its Australian successor, the Nullarbor, is based on the Alexander series fielded by the EU, though powered down by the reduced number of machine guns.

However, the death of Lelouch doesn't bode well for the Black Knights, as an emerging power struggle has become inevitable, with various leaders seeking to succeed him as the new leader. There's also rumors that Peace Mark is willing to join the Black Knights, as well as other anti-Britannian organizations, but their decentralized leadership is slowly becoming more appealing to the Black Knights leadership.

As for W-0 in general, while they've managed to recover from their defense of the Baltic States and their ultimate retreat to Finland, the Euro-Britannians are slowly proceeding with caution, as evident by the heavy losses they took while attempting to storm the defenses of the EU's Transnistria Line. However, the planned reconquest of Constantinople from the EU is not a good sign, as Euro-Britannia could easily take much of the eastern and central Balkans from the EU.
