The Colonial Fleet of Tir has grown over four centuries from a meager garrison on the fringes of known space to one of the most formidable navies beyond the Nebra Marginals.
At its core still an extension of the Imperial Armada Aurea, the fleet allocated significant resources to develop considerable autonomous capabilities. Both as a peacekeeping force among the nearest century worlds, and in ambitious outward expeditions, Tir's Colonial Fleet proved its worth despite setbacks from without and within. Especially the development of domestic shipbuilding capabilities during the second and third century of its existence were an era plagued with power struggles, faltering progress, and scarce support. Such challenges could only be overcome through the political sway and determination of the robust veteran core of the admiralty.
