The Brakiri of the Thamil Syndicate are more by far than humble traders. Unlike so many of their kindred, they seek out the unknown. Out on the Rim, on the fringes of known space, there lie the profits and opportunities of a future belonging to them. This they believe with all their hearts and send large fleets further and further outward bound.
Among others of the Syndricracy, they are sometimes ridiculed, sometimes seen with suspicion. And yet, though they are shunned from some major marketplaces and trade hubs in the Syndricracy, the corporations of the Thamil Syndicate do not seem to falter. On the contrary, they thrive on profits that cannot be easily ascribed to any of the open dealings they make with the known races. Some suspect behind this illicit dealing, smuggling, and false documentation. Though even thorough probing never brought about evidence for any such events. This fuels the ludicrous, yet tenacious rumor, that the Thamil Syndicate found other worlds, a reclusive species out on the Rim, which has no other point of contact with known space.
Such exclusive trade dealings would be unprecedented in the history of Brakir, questionable from a point of law and perhaps even ethical perspectives. But to the days of the dawning Third Age, the mysteries of the Thamil syndicate remain unknown, the lips of its operatives sealed.
