Description ~This drawing was inspired by Scarlett Johansson.~

I picked up a magazine with her in it and the picture was ok, but it didn't high light her attributes, and the photo was all washed out. Still, no net and boredom gave way to drawing with a crappy reference anyway. I hope it delivers !

I always prep my drawings in Photo-Shop, mostly due to crappy scanners, adjusting brightness, contrast ect. But something interesting started happening when i added greyscale shading (not too much) via paint brush and i got all excited about the airbrush look. Im easily amused....

Pencil & Paper : 2-3 hours
Photo-Shop(some brush strokes): 10-15 min

artist note:I elongated the neck, and exaggerated the curls purposefully to give the piece a little excitement and originality. Ok i just really like drawing crazy hair lol. critiques are welcomed.

note: Any critiques on how long her neck is and the exaggerated hair do will be marked as spam, since it was done on purpose. Lets keep it clean people

i like the idea to do something like caricature.. if you do hair, neck and shoulders that way, however, i think you should try to put some caricature features in her face, too. Like very big lips, or a minimini nose... or something...

Otherwise there's always an impression of an extract of a realistic drawing simply stuck on caricature hair.. a bit weird

Nevertheless, I really appreciate the idea!

First off : Thanks for the quick responds .

Ok, Though im no stranger to caricature and i enjoy the art form , the concept wasn't to characterize. I drew most of my inspiration form Renaissance paintings of the 1500 and UP that infuse bits of elongated necks, nails, and hair Madonna with the Long Neck
also known as Madonna and Child with Angels and St. Jerome being an example.

Again thanks for your well thought comments and consideration.
