Description This is a pencil drawing that I did for my girlfriend's birthday. It took somewhere around 35 hours. The original is 14x18 in. Any comments/ suggestions would be appreciated. Many thanks to Chris for letting me use his photo for reference. [link]

this is insane! i have drawn a lion before and i found the fur really difficult but you have drawn it beautifully!!!

Thanks. For the whiskers and the white hair I marked the hairs with an empty ball point pen to make grooves in the paper and then drew over it with a dark pencil (4b or 6b). Then I blended it in and erased any pencil that got in the grooves.Once I could see where the hairs were I added more detail around them. Good luck!
