The bottom of the ears should line up with the bottom of the nose. The top of the ears should line up on the eyebrows.

how did you get the background behind marth? i tried, and it always covered my picture

you have to make sure that the layer is below all of the other layers, then it will be behind the picture.

like, say i draw the line art over the picture, and i want to color, but not go over the lines i drew over the picture

then click and drag he layer that you are coloring on below the layer with your line art.

what about for the ones that are locked, like the first one that appears when you open a picture to edit?

no, i jst open a new tab and do the lineart on that..
then fill in the background in the locked layer

you know how that one layer is locked?
well leave it blank
open a new tab and do the outline on that.
when you are ready for the background, do it on the locked tab, that you left blank
