"You have long forgotten that we gods are to be respected. To be revered. The word 'fool' no longer fits. You are, truly, pitifull."
- Hades
A little quote taken from the trailer of the game Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers. I find that Hades is a villain with enormous potential. Different from Poseidon, who thinks that humanity needs just a punishment to get back on track, Hades thinks that the only answer to the human heresy is a permanent judgment, the end of all life. He went so far to create the underworld to punish humans for their sins, and even with that, they went to the "heretic" path. The word 'Fool' no longer applies to humanity. Even with the power to create miracles that the gods gave them, even with a beautifull world for them to live on, even with the very gift of life that shines and gives them hope, humanity still sins. Against the gods and against themselves.
Humanity is, truly, pitifull.
This is just my own view of Hades motivations as a god who had his pride hurt by human defiance. And, well, i find it very interesting So interesting that i tried to portray this bitter side of him with this photo, with a close up on his eyes. Those sad eyes, empty like a void. Indiferent, yet proud. Beautifull, yet almighty. Piercing the soul of the ones that he judge.
Anyways, enjoy!
