Description So, here my watercolour supplies!!

1&2. As you can see I use TON of paper. I'm a paper addict. Every time I go to an art store I have to buy some new paper!
my favourite are Fabriano Artisti and Magnani. I work with all kind of grain, it depends on what I want to do in that moment.
I've had bad times with arches, even though it's supposed to be the best of the best out there...I'm still trying to understand if it's my problem or the paper's.

3. pencils, mechanical pencils, pen for inking, rubber, kneaded rubber. Pretty standard stuff, mostly staedler. Oh, and Titanium White Maimeri Gouache. The only one I found suiting for my needs.

4. various brushes and sponges. The really important one are those three in horizontal: the sable brushes. I do 99% of the watercolour work only with those 3. the black one are winsor&newton serie 7 nΒ°2 and 4, the blue one is a cheap one "Poggi", bought asking "please, give me the cheapest sable brush number 7 you have! I can't afford a mortgage to buy a winsor&newton that big!". then again, cheap brushes for masking and for big areas.

5. my colours! old winsor&newton cotman palette, I'm slowly replacing the student colours with new artist quality pans. The watercolour pencils are Derwent Inktense and Graphitint. Of course that cloth in the corner is sort of my best friend. XD

... uh, forgot to include the masking fluid... well, no prob, is not like I prefer a specific brand....

Note: Useful when you're outside but not when it's -20C

I'm also curious about those Inktense pencils. Didn't dare to buy a large set since was afraid, are they different from simple watersoluble pencils?

I know what you mean about paper. i used to buy it on sale ALL the time, so much so, I haven't bought any paper in 2 years, and probably don't need to buy anymore for at least a year. XD

ah, I love your palette of colors! Good luck on upgrading to artist colors.

ohhh art supplies. lol i do the same thing as u do. ^^0 i always buy paper. XD i have a question though. the watercolour paper i use (Canson- ive had it lying around for a while) always crinkles. i dont know what to do, or if that always happens for everyone or if the paper is just crappy. lol. it seems though people's paper for watercolour and yours seems great though.

I actually never found a solution for that! XD I just try to ignore it! (I tape the paper on a board though...)
by the way on the group #watercolorists there is a journal where a lot of artists gave tips about waving and wrinkling paper: [link] some are really useful!

E ce l'ho anch'io quell'album a scacchi XD
L'Arches non l'ho mai vista in giro dalle mie parti.

Prima o poi fotograferΓ² anch'io i tools of the trade
