Description working title

it's not offensive, there's nothing wrong with a transparent womb, it's just the red-yellow color scheme is gross.

True, her color scheme is a little squickie, but she's obviously a very dedicated parent. Cool creature design!

How do the babies get out? Simply eat through the skin?

Probably not eating their way out.
Once the nutrient supply runs out the little sackbaby will cut it's way out with a razor-like egg tooth.

Ah.
How does the baby get IN in the first place? Parthogenesis?

Strange.
How does it keep from bleeding?

the needle only pierces the womb, and it does bleed a bit, but it heals very quickly.

I see.
Why did the close-womb system develop, though? And how?

Even the descriptions I just gave you was bs'd on the spot.

Ah. I see.
You won't try to explain it, though?

Ok, here we go.
Instead of tetrapods, most of the dominant land life-forms (of the Sackmothers planet) developed from bipedal frogs. The closed-womb system isn't a strange occurrence, it's just that most organisms have a sponge-like "receptor" and eggs grow in that once fertilized. But Sponginas only work if you have a lot of little offsprings, or one large offspring. The sack-womb is better for the Sackmother because she can carry multiple young at once of different age.
