Description It's been a while since I posted something on Deviatart. However I don't know what this picture is, I just wanted to draw some Lady Loki and it ended out like this :I Maybe it's some kind of au story where Loki is half Jotun and half Aesir and his real mother looks exactly like Lady Loki ? (WTF?) or maybe it's only a dream, a magical appearance?
Since his past is so sad I wanted to give him a bit of affection...poor babby ;_;

Well, I have this OC who my friend pointed out looks a lot like Lady Loki, so when I saw this drawing, I instantly thought of her and Jotun Loki...My idea is, basically, Cynthia (My OC)is an Aesir who finds her way into Jotunhiem and finds a small Frost Giant child crying, and being seriously sweet and gentle, she doesn't have the heart to just leave him there...

And I'll have to work it from there...It's not my best idea

She does look like his mother! I think the Eddas say both Laufey and Farbauti were giants but from Loki's physical appearance (and the fact that he looks very different from other frost giants) it would make sense to me if his mother was one of the Aesir or maybe an elf. And I love how you drew their hair!

Thank you very much, glad you liked their hair! if you referred to the mythology Loki, Farbauti and Laufey are just giant not like the big and blue Frost Giant of the movies/comics but I don't know if Marvel ever explained why Loki is so small compared to other jotuns. I like the idea of him being half Aesir (or half elf) maybe he had inherited his magical powers from his mother, an enchantress? Now I need an explanation story, dammit! XD

Well, the jotuns in mythology are called frost giants (as opposed to the fire giants in Muspellheim). But you're right they never said why he was so small, also why does he have hair? And his physiognomy is also very human whereas the giants in the movie looked more like orcs.
Yes, it's a great thought, isn't it? We'd need a story of how his mother ended up in Jotunheim and how she died or where she is now and didn't do anything against Loki being left alone and then stolen. I like the thought of her being an elf because they are associated with magical power and trickery, ehehehe.

It would be great but I don't think that Marvel will ever publish a comic about Loki's real past (they published Journey into Mistery series and it's something rare, an entire story with a villain as main character and with his point of view!) but for everything else there are Fanfictions XD I read some stories with his mother being a light elf from Alfheim (in one of them she abandoned Loki because he was a result of rape ;_; ) and they have always fascinated me. God bless fandoms and fanfictions

ma grazie già, è così triste non vedere mai Loki con la sua VERA madre (c'è chi dice sia Laufey stesso o Farbauti, fatto sta che non ho mai visto una interazione trai due!)e così ho pensato che la madre potesse avere l'aspetto di lady Loki ed essere asgardiana. Ma anche l'idea di un Loki dal futuro mi piace molto. Diciamo che l'interpretazione del disegno è libera XD

riguardo ai nomi, la marvel ha fatto un disastro mitologico: laufey Γ¨ il nome della MADRE del loki nordico, una dea minore della vegatezione; farbauti invece Γ¨ il gigantesco paparino.

immagino che la Marvel abbia voluto dare la sua interpretazione (?) spero perchè ha toppato su un bel po' di cose. Anche il solo fatto che Jotunheim non sia una landa desolata di ghiaccio ma sia Niflheim e Loki stesso è solo un gigante non un gigante di ghiaccio. Infondo avrà preso spunto dalla mitologia ma se ne sarà poi distaccata.

già siamo troppo distratte da Chris e Tom per badare all'assurdità del film xD (e ce ne sono state parecchie di assurdità anche se tutto sommato è stato un bel film)ma vabbè dai hanno ancora Thor 2 per riscattarsi e magari saranno più fedeli alla mitologia? viaggeranno attraverso i nove regni quindi speriamo ma la vedo dura...
