as any soldier will attest to this is perfectly normal and not gay if you have been marching and fighting for hours straightΒ you will inevitably reach a point where you are so exhausted you sit down and fall asleep instantly and another person is often more comfortable then rocks however most soldiers will make a friendly gay joke when this happens and its just as funny IRLΒ
also, the crusader is married with a son and not banished he was (as far as I can tell) a conscript and now seeks to fight unholiness wherever it shows its face so no he is not gay

Definitely a better love story than twilight. Not trying to throw a stale meme in here, I'm being serious. The atmosphere of the game makes it seem impossible but it can happen with the most unlikely people in the most unlikely of places. Love the piece!

No, you (the player) are the descendant. The characters in the game such as the highwayman and the crusader are basically mercenaries hired to do the dirty job for you

Crusader, not a templar (Though there's less of a line there than you'd think). And he left because I think his crusade ended and he can't live the life he had before leaving for it, so now he's just a sword for hire.

I had a feeling, I just wanted to let you know about the Crusader's backstory since it's pretty good. Pretty much all the classes have stories like that, check Red Hook's website, they've got comics for all the classes' backstories.
