Talk about Social History. It just show how great the gap is, between those who have & those who have not.

"Partition Available Filipino/Kabayan/Indian/Sri Lankan/Pakistani/African Only" would be completely illegal in the United States and fascinated to see that one can rent "bedspace" for male or female singles and couples. A wonderful historical and social documentation.

I don't know how these folks even manage to live in such difficult conditions. Kudos to them!

Free Dewa.
Only for Kabayans.
Bed Space Available.
Who's bed? With whom would I have to share said space? And would I be allowed to lie to the left, or, if I so choose, to the right of the bed? And who then, would be laying to the right/left of me? A Kabayan? Or a carefree Dewa?
So many questions, such distressing few answers. I fear I would be hard pressed to make the right decision should I ever be in the position to have to look for bed space in Dubai.
What can I say? You done it again. Awesome moment in time, very simple, very economical , and finally educational too, should I ever be able to make sense of all these ads.
Blimey, Khuram, awesome job. It's your very own fault that in the meantime, we don't expect anything less from you.

I wouldn't know much about what goes on in these bed spaces as I've, thankfully, never had the privilege of living in one.
But judging from the many testimonies of friends and people I know who are currently sharing bed spaces with complete strangers,
their biggest problem are these tiny, tiny creatures known as bed bugs. Yes, Bed Freaking Bloodsucking Bugs! Hundreds of them!! Under your mattress, on the walls, in your clothes, your hair - and I'm not talking about the kind that grows on your head. Yep, they're known to traverse down there as well!
Btw, the government has banned the practice of room-sharing. It is also illegal to share the same room with a stranger of the opposite sex.
But looking at these open adverts placed on every billboard, lamppost, telephone booth, and bus stop, all I can say is, "Well, here we are, Mr. Pilgrim..."
Thank you for the kind words, B, you've made my day!
