Plus he owns possibly one of the few companies allied with the Crimson Raiders alonside Jakobs (if the trailor is an indication since Montgomery Jakobs with Hammorlock and his sister.) Plus the slogans for radio ads in Borderlands 3 have been leaked (not all) but I am guessing the radio hosts isn't buying the Atlas will stay true to why Rhys plans as the new focus for the company.
However we seem to be slowly going through the different comapanys in 1 we took on Atlas, in Pre-Sequel Dahl (through it was a lost part of it that other in name wasn't finacially still tied to the company), in 2 and partly Tales we took the fight to Hyperion and now in three not only Children of the Vault but the big bad corporation we're fighting is Maliwan. The only GUN corporations left are Jakobs, Torgue and Vladof and while I doubt Jabobs has a private milatary, Valdof must since it checks the Russia tropes nicely. Torgue it depends since we're good with the figurehead but angered the CEO.

Yeah. And I like this! Maliwan still one of my favorite corporation, so it should be interesting.

Maliwan seemed to captilize on the elemental weapons first and be intesting to see if there a Promethiea exclusive enemy faction or will be aiding the CoV on other worlds since the gameplay has reavealed they partnered up.
