Description
Making art is my new therapy these days. I have been really struggling with depression lately and returning to the things that feed my soul has been super important to me, to keep me grounded and more importantly here on this planet earth. This piece is important to me because it has the weight of the feelings I’ve been feeling lately poured into it’s creation. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, I want to bring attention to the struggles that are unique to Hispanic communities (as well as Latinx, Spanish & other BIPOC individuals) whose mental health is impacted by institutional inequalities, to cultural barriers, and many other obstacles we face on a daily basis.
