Her tears slowly disappeared as she watched how the wolf played rough tumble with the cubs. Only after a while she saw that something was changing. In shock, she watched how the wolf changed into a young man, who was carelessly laughing as the cubs climbed on top of him, trying to bite him everywhere they could. He didn't seem to notice anything, completely caught in the moment.

'Pff, what a raskalls..' he laughed as he sat up straight. His voice was husk and soft, as if he hadn't used it for some time. He quickly glanced at the hunter's daughter and was happy to see she wasn't crying anymore. But he then saw her shocked face.

'What is the matter..' he then realized he was not thinking this, as he heared his own voice as clearly as the cubs' yelps. He then noticed one of the cubs trying to chew on his hand, on his finger. In shock he felt his head glowing, and before Anni knew it, the young man turned right back into a wolf. He growled at her. He then took one of the cubs into his mouth and dashed into the greenery. The other cubs looked puzzled but followed him without hesitation.

The wolf had succeeded; she had completely forgotten about her tears. Anni felt her heart racing inside her chest: had the wolf really turned into a man? Or was she going crazy?
