Description This is the house number transom window that people were complaining that they couldn't see from the street. That's why Keren was working on the house number window panel in her studio.

Thanks. I had to turn off the light by the door to get rid of the glare.

And now a bird has been trying to build a nest on the other side of the transom. The window sill on the other side of the transom isn't wide enough for the nest to fit so the debris from the nest keeps falling all over the doorstep and porch and gets swept away. But the bird still keeps trying build its nest on the transom window.

The housekeeper and my stepfather would sweep away the nest building debris and drop it somewhere else hoping that would encourage the bird to build their nest where they dropped the debris.  Bur the bird would keep coming back and trying to build its nest on the transom window.  This time my stepfather tried putting some ammonia on the doorstep and porch hoping the smell would drive away bugs and the bird.

We may still get to see the bird building its nest, just somewhere else. There are plenty of trees around the house. And one of the alternate locations my stepfather was trying to suggest to the bird was the woodpile behind the parking pad.  So the bird can still go to those places.

This morning, the housekeeper took down the nest and put ammonia on the transom window sill. He and my stepfather are hoping that will drive away the bird. The nest was thrown in the trash. The reason for that because the bird had been given alternate locations to build its nest in but take up on them. My stepfather doesn't mind if the bird builds its nest near the house as long as it doesn't build its nest ON the house.
