Does this work with 10.6.1.7? I installed it, but the skin itself didn't change, the addon worked properly, but there must be something in the latest iTunes update that screws with something.
Oh yeah, and don't forget to update "The Other Side" when you update this one. I adore them both, and I just wish there was a way to switch between the two faster, depending on my mood I like either one.

Never mind, after a few re-installs, 4 pop tarts, tears, and my Fedora, i fixed it. I love my computer. It's compatible with the most recant version of iTunes (10.6.1.7) If you have problems with it, just re-run it a few times.

you better get "the other side of aelia" if getting this, really don't like the texture between the REALLY dark top/bottom and white playlist, sidebar etc....get "the other side of aelia", and you have the most kickass itunes skin on planet earth (Y)

I can't get this to work, am I suppose to restart my computer? I'm on Windows 7 x64 w/ iTunes 10.5.1.42 and when I do the .exe and the program file x86 it still looks the same

the font in the now playing window at the top blends in to the grey background so you can't see whats playing

That is definitely something strange.
Now playing font should look like this [link]
If it looks differently, then try to reinstall theme (iTunes should be closed when reinstalling).
And if after this it still will look incorrect, give me feedback.

I searched code for a while and what can I say.
Code which responses for "now playing" color - is ok.
Now why it happening for you, I can imagine three ways why it happens:
1. Don't know what, but you installed something incorrect
2. Something wrong with iTunes
3. iTunes developers changed something in 10.5 code which is responsible for this color in win 7/Vista (I'm still using XP, so don't have such issue) [but in that way here would be more posts about such error, I think]
And only what can I suggest for you is how to fix first issue.
Make on your desktop(or somewhere else) New Folder, and install skin to this folder.
Next step is go to your original iTunes installation folder and find there file named "iTunes.dll" (it should be ~19MB size) and rename it to iTunes_backup.dll.
Then go to new folder take iTunes.dll and copy paste it to your original iTunes folder and launch iTunes.
Note about x32/x64 system installation folders is in archive (just in case).

I ran the exe file as instructed, but it didn't change the skin for me after installing it. Any ideas what I did wrong?

1. When you ran aeila.exe iTunes was working (when you install skin - iTunes must be closed)
2. You installed it into wrong directory (directory to install in 64 bit system is /program files (x86)/iTunes, on 32 bit system /program files /iTunes)
3. You are using not 10.4.1.10 version of itunes (but in this way iTunes will crash)
