Description
Finally, the wait is over, as MKC has released it's first Modular Rifle System. The M5MR is a steel framed, polymer cased rifle with a variety of parts that simply twist off and on. Need a longer or shorter barrel? Simply pull and lock the release lever (opposite side, not shown), twist the entire hand guard section 15 degrees and remove, then reverse the process with your choice of over 5 barrel lengths and 20+ rail, grip, and hand guard configurations. The process is the same for the stock, with over 30 current stock options. Calibers currently available are 5.56 and 7.62, with more on the way. Receivers are available to accept a wide variety of magazines.
Shown here are the two configurations used by MKCs own Captain Commander, M.A.S. Kenshirou, and whoever he decides to pair himself with when pursuing a single, armed bounty, and as a special offer we have a statement from the Captain Commander on the effectiveness of these configurations.

"To begin with, the M5MR is very lightweight, so extended foot travel is no hassle at all. The top configuration is a DMR with a collapsable skeleton stock, a folding/telescoping monopod foregrip, a simple 2-8x variable zoom scope, a flashlight, and a combined muzzle break of my own design. The bottom is a CQ styled Carbine with a two position micro stock, holographic RDS, and flash dispeller. When in hot pursuit, I prefer to take point; and so I switch rifles with my current partner in and out of buildings, and in and out of my Machine. I find that the monopod of the DMR rests exceptionally well on the armrest, window cowling, and passenger seat of my Machine, providing excellent stability. In the second configuration, the combination of the foregrip and flash dispeller truly keeps recoil to a minimum, and the auto leveling feature of the holo-sight helps to provide a stable shooting platform from any angle or position.
Both rifles are equipped with 50-round c-mags, because running out of ammo at the last moment, just as the perfect shot opens up is over rated. These two rifles are something you can always find in their case, in the back of my Machine."
