Mina once lived an ordinary life, but then one day her life changed when she received a blood transfusion of gamma radiated blood. The radiation ended up reacting with a rare genetic trait resulting in a mutation in her DNA.

It might’ve been a bit of luck that Mina had chosen to go on a getaway trip to the mountain side when her newly altered genetics chose to trigger, causing her to turn into a gigantic monstrous creature, and thus little to no public panic or collateral damage resulting from this shocking experience. Finding that, despite her transformation, Mina was still herself albeit a lot larger now, in more ways than one.
Taking the opportunity of her current location, Mina began to work on coming to terms with what happened to her, adjusting to her new form and even learning how to control her new abilities without worry of causing damage or being seen. Returning back home, the city was soon ready to meet its newest hero, Kaiju Shift!

Facts:
The gamma radiated blood was part of a supervillain scheme to try and hold the city ransom with the threat of poisoning the citizens, in a strange twist of fate, one bag of the tainted blood slipped through the cracks when the scheme was foiled.

Even in a world with super heroes and super villains, giant monsters and robots aren't exactly attacking the city every week. As such, Kaiju Shift finds her uniquely pacific powers make her not suitable for every time a hero is needed. As such she’ll find herself starting to slack off a bit on her usually work out and training. This lack of her regular routine has led to her gaining quite an amount of girth which in turn, when turning into her kaiju form, is amplified exponentially more so.
