Yes he has, but it wasn't until several months ago where he became the new Overwatch and no one would ever shut up about him, no matter where I go online I'm hearing about Jacksepticeye now, people used to talk about Markiplier back when he had like 1mil-10mil subs, now no one talks about him anymore, and surprisingly jacksepticguy has more subs than markiplier even though I hadn't heard much about him until a few months ago

Couldn't you ask that of any famous person?
It can be answered with a simple "because I like him, and he's a genuine and entertaining person" but that statement is may only be true for that person.
There's not much else that can be said about it except, people have opinions, you may not like him, but around 19millon people do, and that's why he's famous.

All I asked is Why is he so famous. I never said "SHUT UP ABOUT HIM ALREADY". I was a fan of Markiplier all the way up to 10 million subs, he got 20 million then no one talked about him anymore, for the first time people started talking about Jacksepticguy. Everywhere. I. Went. Nonstop.

I was just saying that it's impossible to say why someone's famous, it could be how much he's touring, it could just be that his fanbase is louder than others
For me it feel like I see just as much Jacksepticeye as Markiplier on the internet, maybe I just see what I want to see though.

Mark is amazing, I just stopped watching let's plays on youtube since I'm busy, now I'm just watching art/animation channels, but I used to watch him a lot around 2013, the first vid I saw from him was Slender the Arrival, back then I was like "WHY THE F**K IS EVERY VIDEO SOME DUMBASS WITH A NASALLY OR FAKE RADIO VOICE TALKING NONSTOP?", saw Markiplier and said "F**k it, I give up, I'll never find a gameplay with no commentary", when I heard him his voice sounded extremely weird to me because 99.99% of the time it was always an annoying british guy who's impossible to understand, or an annoying white guy who pretends to be a radio host, with Markiplier he sounds like a boxing announcer 
The first time I saw a Jacksepticeye video the second the video started I literally went:
