because it implied that Baby Dark (I mean it looks a lot like baby dark so it's probably baby dark) actually had someone who cared about him before he SOMEHOW got stuck with Mark. A father or father figure of sorts. This picture is cute, but it hides darker undertones.ย

I'm guessing that since Maskman has created this like ancient culture of an ancient species (gonna call them spirits for now) these spirits had parents or caretakers when they are young.
they lived in relative peace and was some kind of huge tribe around the earth (or perhaps some other planet) and something/someone killed almost all of the spirits off (dark and anti as the only ones left that we know of) and eliminated some kind of (powersource??) that the spirits used to stay in their solid human forms (as said in one of maskman's illustrations, can't remember which one but she said that anti can't stay in human form without jack for very long)or that it had something to do with the two spirits splitting up for some reason (as shown in another drawing) and anti giving in to his dark side forcing him out of his human form (possibly) and eventually getting stuck with jack for some reason, and this led dark down the same road leaving him with mark.
Then the two spirits were forced to reunite as jack and mark are friends, leaving bloody battles almost everytime they meet (I think)
How they were forced to 'inhabit'(or possess I'm not reall sure what to call it) or chose to 'inhabit' jack and mark I don't know
How only anti and dark were left I don't know
How the culture were killed off I don't know
How it's gonna end I don't know
How it began I don't know
How sam plays into this I don't know (more than that he gives anti and jack some sort of power)
Why the two came to hate each other i don't know
If anti and dark has the goal to completely take over jack and mark anymore I don't know
We don't really know much right now
At this point only maksnman knows most of these answers, unless she hasn't come up with them yet.
But for now I'm gonna speculate, calculate, theorize and enjoy maskman's work to the fullest as I both dislike and love having empty pusslepieces, I love having the full story but not having straight answers leaves me to come back for more.
I think whatever way she is leaning with this story it will be great,
and if Maskman sees this I have to say I love everything you have made so far, both connected to this story and everything before it and I hope you continue to do this,
And most importantly have fun while doing it.

That's actually a very theory. Either that or this is a differentย dimension of Earth, and both Anti and Dark got stuck in a dangerous situation or put their noses where they don't belong and (somehow) did something that put them where they are now.ย

I would say Anti got in a dangerous situation and disappeared mysteriously, so Dark stuck his nose in places it didn't belong and suffered a similar fate.ย

What a beautiful array of tones fused with soft textures, it creates a sense of serenity and tranquility in this undisturbed part of the land. There is an ethereal beauty about the statue too that presents the notion to be a figure of authority.
I do get the feeling along with others that the child isn't Dark.
Also this is another appearance of owl-like creature figure and somehow they play an important role in this universe. I wonder if the winged human figures we have seen are some sort of decedents of this celestial like creatures. The tall birdย personages have the connotations of something of higher power than subjects such as Anti, Dark and even their father figures. As an idea or a small theory, when Anti's wings were lost and he later started to grow clawed hands, could it be suggested these are representative of talons that birds of prey have. His transformation was some sort of punishment? Yet again, this is an incredible FAR stretch of an idea as Anti's behaviour we see in later stages is more feline-like than bird. Who knows or well in this case, nobody knows, haha! Back to the drawing board!ย

I agree! I don't think that's the Darkidoo we all know and love. My prediction is that this might be the light blue winged guy's actual child. I mean look both of their wings are the exact shape! Dark's wings look more like a pink mustache. This child might be dead.. idk.
