Aloha great purveyors of the internet. I hope you're having a fantastic day, for it is at this moment that I bring you another stellar YCH commission, courtesy of , and this time featuring the character D'Vana Tendi from "Star Trek: Lower Decks".

Now, if you're wondering why I'm releasing this in October even though it's clearly a beach time piece, there's a simple explanation for this...

I had a brain fart.

Yeah, I originally asked for this piece back in Summer of this year, but due to poor money decisions, I asked if she would be willing to belay working on this 'till I had more money later, which she was cool with. Fast forward 2-3 months, and I suddenly remembered "oh crap, I wanted to commission that artist". Cue me messaging to see if she was still willing to do the piece after all this time, and lucky for me, she said yes (thank you again, Snailyn, and I'm still sorry for waiting so long to get back to you).

As for this piece, we should probably talk about this character on the off chance you're unfamiliar with her. This is D'Vana Tendi, one of the main characters of the Star Trek cartoon, "Star Trek: Lower Decks". The basic premise of Lower Decks is that it takes place onboard on the Starfleet California vessel, the U.S.S. Cerritos, with the show having a primary focus on the members of the crew that operate on the lower decks of the ship rather than the bridge crew like many other Star Trek series (though they are still major characters in the series, and do interact with our heroes on quite a few occasions). Which brings us to Tendi; she's an Orion Science Officer that works as an Ensign in the medical bay onboard the Cerritos, and, put simply... She's adorable!

As a character, she's very excitable, very outgoing, and very fun! She's always ready to try new things for the sake of doing them, loves spending time with her friends, is always willing to get whatever job she gets assigned to done, no matter what hell she has to go through to do it, and when backed into a corner, she kicks major ass!

I'm not kidding, there are at least two episodes where she has showcased intense martial arts skills, and it's so unexpected, yet so intimately bad ass!

So, with all this in mind, why wouldn't I want to see this green skinned cutie getting tickle tortured?

But as for how Tendi got here, well...

Tendi stood before the holodeck doors, her lip quivering with anticipation. She had been planning this trip for a while, but hadn't had the courage nor the time to do it till now. But with her schedule clear and all her friends occupied with their own activities, she realized now was the perfect opportunity.

So, after taking a deep breath and doing a quick check of the hall to make sure she was alone, she opened the holodeck doors, entered, and quickly locked the doors behind her.

Didn't want anyone walking in on this.

Immediately, Tendi told the holodeck's mainframe to prepare her special program. One that she had been cooking since she had conceived of doing this. She was careful to ensure that no one learned of this program's existence, and even made sure that if anyone did find it, it wouldn't raise too many suspicions and be written off. And for the most part, it had been, especially since for all intents and purposes, it seemed like an average beach day simulation. But if one looked deep enough in the simulation's code, they would have noticed three very strange oddities about it.

Firstly, this simulation had the safety protocols deactivated. Sure, the program could still be ended if the right command key was verbally inputted, but otherwise, if one entered this simulation, they had to be careful when wandering around. Though, for what Tendi had created the program for, this was exactly what she wanted.

The second thing of note about the program was that, as previously mentioned, while it did have a verbal command key that would end the simulation upon its utterance, it wasn't the standard "end program" command. Instead, it was a random phrase, a "safety word" so to speak that, when uttered, would pause the simulation. Only then would the "end program" command finally work.

Which is what led to the final oddity of this program, and the whole reason Tendi set it up in the first place. All the NPCs, regardless of who they were, were programmed to, once they saw the player character in the simulation, close in on them, secure them in a way that would leave them incapacitated, and then finally tickle them nonstop!

This was why Tendi had kept the program secret. For the longest time, she had fantasized about being tied down and tickled, her most sensitive spots exposed to the elements while onlookers poked, prodded, and drove her up the wall with various tools, fingers, and ticklish implements, and with the holodeck free and her evening clear, Tendi decided that now was the perfect time to live out her fantasy!

As such, after changing into the appropriate attire and double checking that the door was locked, Tendi finally launched the program, putting her in a sunny, beachside environment with a warm sun beating down on her. In the distance, she could see various beach goers either relaxing in the sun, or playing in the water. She wasted no time calling out to them and running to their location.

And so it was that Tendi was apprehended by the beach goers, her lower body buried in the sand save her exposed feet and her arms tied aloft to a volleyball pole. And while, even then, Tendi began having second thoughts about the whole affair, even considering using the safety word and ending the program, once the beach goers pulled out a couple electric toothbrushes and a marker which they menacingly held over her exposed soles, Tendi felt a deep blush on her face, and no words left her mouth.

Just as before, knocked it out of the park with this piece. The expressions, the color palette, the little blush on Tendi's cheeks as the hands tickle her armpit and belly while the electric toothbrushes attack her toes; it's all just so evilly delightful, and I love it! I think my favorite parts are the writing on her feet (love how the wording is spread across her soles), and how her bikini mixes in elements of her standard uniform. When I commissioned this piece, I never even considered working her uniform into a beach outfit, but the way was able to spread the pattern from her uniform on the bikini, as if it were standard ware for Starfleet officers, is a really damn cool detail that I never thought about doing, was really cool to have, and was all .

Overall, I think this is a fantastic piece, and well worth the wait. So , if you're reading this, thank you again for such an awesome piece, and again, I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
