Oh, couldn't help it

I've recently been experimenting with Russian Punch Needle, and have re-newed my resepect for those who work with the needle and thread alone.

The only thing is I would cry if it got dirty....

talyra In reply to MasonBee [2007-05-28 15:36:28 +0000 UTC]

I wouldn't want to muck it up either. Could it not be done in washable cotton for a bag or shirt? It's just 'in theory' really, I guess, since it took so long to do. I just think that as a motif on stuff this would sell really well.

Perhaps a outline version? I might when the weather inproves take a better shot so I could turn it into a print or something to that effect, what do you think?

talyra In reply to MasonBee [2007-05-28 15:46:37 +0000 UTC]

I like the idea of the outline version. I think that would be pwetty.

I might try that out on a tote...on some neutral coloured linen.

Thank you, I really enjoyed stitching them..I suspect at some point I will do another version just so I can stitch another set of wings.
