Description Trying to get a nice close up of this guy was a pain. At the Pittsburgh Zoo they have their allagatoron display above a wooden rope bridge. He likes to lay on the cement slab in the water just feet below from the bridge. But since it's a rope bridge, when ever any one walks across it the thing swings and wobbles like crazy. I had my zoom out as far as I could get it and I think I had held my position on that bridge for over 15min/s waiting for athrong of families and bratty children to get across the bridge. Lucky for me since the allagator was "just" laying there, the short attention spans of the families caused them to move on quickly. To me just watching him was beauty. He would open his eyes and move his front right leg every now and then. Why should he do more? It was a wonderful warm day. He was soaking up sun. Thats what reptiles do...
