Description
It was close to the end of the day at the Pittsburgh Zoo. My brother and I had walked around the zoo and had come upon the beginning again. He went off to take pics of the rhino again and I walked over to the lions area. The throngs of people had already passed through here and the animals were just beginning to feel comfy enough to come out from hiding. This lioness was sitting just a few feet from the display window gnawing on a bone. I got my camera ready and she got up and decided that she wanted a drink of water. She was so close to me, that if the glass wasn't there I could reach out and pet the big cat, or become lunch. I was the only person near that lioness for a good five minutes or so before my brother walked up to me. That was when she decided to casually get up and walk away from the window.
