I was thinking of Shel's book when I first saw this! Awesome work. The facial expressions give each character...character! I can totally see a series of adventures starring this group!

Dude...this is great. It's like all those kids who didn't grow up with Shel get to expirience him first hand.

HAH! that is the greatest cast to put in context with the book. Their expressions are so animated, and special love to the piggybackers, barefoot all the way, yo!

The composition is great the way it moves up through the rock and the guy's leg and the arm and all. Wish I could do that. Great!

I don't mind other guys dancing with my girl
That's fine, I know them all pretty well
But I know sometimes I must get out in the light
Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright
The kids are alright ...
thank you!

ah I remember that book. I... need to get a new copy, that was one of the great imagination twisters for me when I was little.
And I love what you've done here, the different figures are so facinating in their own unique ways. It's a wonderful piece.

Ah, I don't know this book. I wonder if it has been translated to French, I should look at my local library.
Great drawing, with varied attitudes.
I can related to the one afraid to look over the edge, I feel a tingle in my feet just by looking at the girl near the border...

it is a children's book of poetry, very funny stuff... but the image of two kids
peeking over the edge into the abyss was unforgettable... their dog almost falls through.
google "where the sidewalk ends" and you'll find a few images and poems.
and thanks as always, for your comments... yeah, that girl just loves living on the edge...
