The effect on Shep is pretty good. I've got to admit though, I think this would be a better picture if it was just a picture of Shep on his own.

Wrex and Garrus are the best.
And it kind of looks like you incorporated the game's glitch wherein a bright light will not be hindered by the player's body.
Also the ammount of detail is insane.

The colors are used really well here, maybe you should do a fade out on the legs so it doesn't look like they are standing on an invisible space platform, or at least bring them down. Also, I feel like the ship is extraneous. But this is still a great picture.
